My hope is that by becoming a regular at Forever Om, I’ll become more flexible, have a stronger core and be injury free. All that twisting and sweating should do it. I’m now able to touch the floor easily and feel my hips loosening. I don’t fall down as easily.
I have come to appreciate another aspect of yoga which I’m told is very very important. The rest time at the end. I think it’s called shivasana which as best I can tell means to nap in sweat. Even better last Sunday I not only got a quick snooze but also some chocolate. Sometimes during shivasana the yogi rubs some type of scented oil on you. My wife likes this but I prefer the chocolate.
I’m still in it for the stretching but the nap and snack is awesome.
